What Darwin Never Knew and Questions Mr. Early Predicted

If you happen to read this before the class - congratulations! You could get a head start if you like.*

"What Darwin Never Knew" Video Assignment

As you watch the video, “What Darwin Never Knew,” take notes on the evidence for evolution that is presented. If you have any other questions or comments as you watch, take note of those too. Correctly name and submit your notes to your “Edgar.”

It’s a long video and there is a lot of evidence presented.** Using your notes, by Monday of next week (10/21), I would like for you to make a short video or podcast that explains, in your own thoughts and words, three of the most compelling pieces of evidence discussed in the video.

You may have questions and "Clairvoyant Mr. Early" has your Frequently Asked Future Questions (FAFQs)

1. Mr. Early, does it matter what three pieces of evidence I pick?

A: No. You decide what the three most important pieces of evidence are. They may be personal to you in some way, but explain why and use evidence

2. Mr. Early, sir, how long does the video need to be?

A: Long enough to get your point across, but probably not longer than 2-3 minutes and most likely shorter.

3. Mr. Wonderful***...I mean, Mr. Early, how detailed do we need to be?

A: You should assume that the person listening to your podcast or video hasn't seen the movie. Be detailed so that they don't have to see the movie themselves and can still understand what you are talking about. Explain the evidence completely.

4. Mr. Early, are we going to watch this video in class or outside of school?

A: Outside of school, but you wouldn't have to watch all of it at the same time.

5. Hey, yo, where should I turn it in?

A: You should post it on your blog. We'd love to hear/see what you create. Your notes can stay in your Edgar though...and my name is Mr. Early.

6. Mr. Early, what does the fox say?

A: Are you still unsure?

7. Hi, umm, you probably already said this, but when is this due?

A: Read above instructions again.

For official instructions(or if these aren't good enough), check the class shared folder or if you're logged in to your google drive, click here. You're going to do a great job!
